Kid in a candy store

Motion Auto Show had its Super Show in Long Beach Convention Center this year. Japangeles was lucky enough to be invited by Mike at Pro-Motion Distributing. Location is very important when it comes to booth space and they gave us a piece of real estate right in front of the models! How can we say no to that foot traffic? The team at Pro-Motion know how to do things right!  Pictures don’t do justice..I recommend you follow them and attend the next show! Oh yea, don’t forget your camera.

Big Trouble in Little Tokyo

Another fun night @Little Tokyo Happy Hour in Los Angeles. Nothing’s better than having a drink with new and old friends on hump day. How do we know? All the booths were unmanned!

Check LaurenLuvs Jewelry out if you want to score some brownie points with the old lady.

The most popular guy of the night. Maybe cause he was giving away free sake samples?

Always a classic! Neoclassics!

You wouldn’t find mom’s kitchen bowls here! Awesome lifestyle boutique. Check em’ out for yourself on first street in Little Tokyo. BOWLS.

Ordinary Craft for ordinary people.

Always a solid performance by Shane Kanoa!

Two of the hardest working girls @Little Tokyo Happy Hour.

The guys @Sakurai Grill always puts a smile on my face when they bring their spam musubi’s.

The guys behind the bar that make people very happy.

Little Tokyo Trouble Makers!

Pop goes Nirvana!

Thank you EVERYONE for coming out to Japangeles first popup shop at Nirvana Bar.  Bernie & Allen did an awesome job spinnin’ great music throughout the night, and a big arigato to Randy for the warm hospitality! The turnout has exceeded our expectations. It was a great night! How do we know? We barely took any pictures.

Rock on!

Japangeles was invited to watch Goro Band (rock group from Japan) & Great White perform at the world famous Key Club in Hollywood. Goro had a surprise for us when he went up on stage. He was rockin’ Japangeles “Top Crane” tee. Japangeles gets love from rock to hip-hop! Thanks for representin’ Goro Band!

TAG you’re it!

The man who dies with the most toys wins. Well, Gino Joukar the owner of TAG (Toy Art Gallery) wins! TAG is a beautiful store located in the prime location of melrose that showcases awesome high end toys and sculptures from many cool artist. They are also the first store that will carry Japangeles! If Gino & Aaron aren’t here, Assistant Manager Connell Little (photo below), will definitely be here to help you out. Check em’ out!

Notorious T.O.T

Meet Mr. Goro, general manager of  T.O.T  (Teishokuya of Tokyo) a restaurant in the heart of little Tokyo Los Angeles.  T.O.T offers a traditional style Japanese cuisine in a cozy homely atmosphere.  If your group can’t decide what kind of Japanese food to eat, I’ll bet you the lint in my pocket that this place will have something that will satisfy even the most undecided.

T.O.T is showcasing Japangeles art on their walls, so come by and ask to be seated in the booth with your favorite Japangeles design and don’t forget to say hello to Mr. Goro.  By the way, don’t let the T.O.T uniform fool you.  Goro is also a musician.  Rock on Goro!

Puff the Magic Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! This weekend in Chinatown, Los Angeles had festivities for all ages. From performances, food trucks, to craft booths by LACE there were plenty of things to do. 2012 is the year of the dragon (considered the luckiest year in chinese zodiac), and when you walk the streets of chinatown you’ll definitely see dragons in all shapes and sizes. Coming to Chinatown I always feel like I’ll bump into Lo Pan or Egg Shen from “Big Trouble in little China” or eat at a Chinese restaurant and stumble upon a secret passage way that will lead to a forbidden city. (Fingers crossed) One of these days…

Tummy of steel!

Order Detective James Carter’s favorite MU SHU PORK!

Nice Buns!

The man behind The Bun Truck or should I say inside. Brian (right) is the co-owner of The Bun Truck serving up delicious Korean-Mediterranean fusion style food.  Their food is amazing! My recommendation would probably be anything on the menu, you can’t go wrong.   So like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.  Bon appetit!

Hmmm..I see a familiar sticker

Hidden Gem

The Friendship Bell, is a hidden gem in San Pedro overlooking the Pacific Ocean, was presented as a gift from the people of the Republic of Korea to the people of the USA, to show friendship and trust between two nations.  People come here to picnic, play basketball, pray, relax or just skate! So if you’re in the San Pedro area, come by and ring the bell.
